  • Our Unique Method & Machine

    This isn’t Pilates.

    And it isn’t traditional strength training in a gym.

    It’s a smarter hybrid of both.

    At Studio Montel, we train on the Strengthformer … a custom machine that looks similar to a Pilates reformer, but is built bigger, stronger, and with significantly heavier spring resistance.

    This allows us to apply strength training principles: progressive overload, muscular fatigue, and muscle-specific loading, in a way that feels controlled, supported, and joint-friendly.

    You build real muscle and strength, without the intimidation or chaos of a traditional gym floor.

    Our Strengthformer sessions are programmed ahead of time, science-backed, and structured by muscle group. This ensures your training is balanced across the week, with the right mix of challenge and recovery, so you get stronger, feel better, and stay consistent long-term.

  • Core & Cardio: 15 minutes of abdominals & obliques, followed by a 25 minute cardio circuit using a combination of bodyweight exercises, dumbbells & erg machines (ski, bike & row)

    Box & Build: 25 mins of full-body strength + 25 mins of partnered boxing, to spike the heart rate in a fun & mentally stimulating way.

    Fuse: 30 minutes of core & booty strength training, with a 12 min HIIT finisher

  • KIND HIIT (30 minutes): an express cardio class that delivers the incredible benefits of HIIT in the right amount that doesn’t overstress your body or compromise your strength training. We call our HIIT “KIND Cardio” because low-impact options are always made available for those needing to work at a lower intensity but don’t want to skip the benefits of cardio.

    Welcome to cardio you’ll actually enjoy.
    It doesn’t exhaust you, it energises you.

  • Flow: Blending 30 minutes of glutes + core strength work with 15 minutes of mobility and dynamic stretching on the Strengthformer. It’s the perfect session for days you want to feel strong, and relax tired or stiff muscles.

    Slow Burn Sundays: A lower-intensity full-body mat-based session using pilates props, followed by 15 minutes of guided stretching & meditation on the Strengthformer. This class is designed to help you unwind, reset, and feel grounded heading into the week ahead.
